Halloween will be observed on Monday Oct. 31st in both Buchanan and Tazewell Counties this year

Following are the specific schedules for each town:

Buchanan County
Grundy: Monday from 6:00 pm till 8:30 pm; no age limit set
Tazewell County
Bluefield: Monday from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm; ages12 and under
Cedar Bluff: Monday from 6:30 pm till 8:30 pm; ages14 and under
Pocahontas: Monday from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm; ages12 and under
Richlands: Monday from 6:00 pm till 8:30 pm; ages14 and under
Tazewell: Monday from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm; ages13 and under

Both Buchanan and Tazewell Counties rely on the municipalities to set the schedule for Halloween activities each year, the counties themselves normally do not pass any ordinance or statute on Halloween, but instead observe the towns’ rulings.
